The first burial here was in 1869! The cemetery in Lovedale- known to generations of Lawrencians simply as "Cem" features in our "Landmarks of Lovedale" series in " Glimpses of a Glorious Past: An Informal History of The Lawrence School, Lovedale.

An Old Lawrencian for Life

Every student of the Lawrence School Lovedale who has completed an academic year or more is eligible for life membership to the Old Lawrencians Association and its global community.  

Students who have passed out of Class 12 from the year 1990 automatically qualify and are registered for life membership. The fee for becoming a registered OLA member is deducted automatically from the ‘Caution Deposit’ at the time of graduation.
